Assistant to CEO of FKC / Austin, TX – FILLED

This is an Executive and Personal Assistant role working directly with the CEO of First Knives Club. The successful candidate must have a can-do, enthusiastic attitude and be a prompt communicator. Ideally, this position will evolve into a full-time role with a generous commission opportunity. You get out as much as you put in!

Location: Austin, TX

Schedule: 10-20 hrs per week, in-person and remote. Flexible schedule.

Compensation: $20-25 per hour based on experience + commission opportunity

Job Requirements:

  • Preparing contracts for clients and contractors
  • Liaising with clients and contractors, including sending confirmation emails and contracts
  • Invoicing and basic bookkeeping duties via Quickbooks
  • Managing Google Drive filing system and implementing new systems
  • Creating promotional materials for social and menu templates using Canva or Adobe
  • Assisting in recruitment
  • Managing calendar, including confirmed events, meetings, holidays, etc.
  • Building a list of food & lifestyle media (print, blogs, websites, etc.)
  • Liaising with marketing & PR team for content, SEO targets, newsletter creation
  • Building and maintaining Mailchimp database, including sourcing potential clients
  • Creating and optimizing Yelp, Google, Facebook & Pinterest pages
  • Various research projects (sourcing suppliers, venues, wholesalers, rentals, etc.)
  • Errands including mail-outs, supply shopping, returns, etc.
  • Managing rental property, including liaising with cleaners, guests, managing turnaround duties, and stock items

Essential Skills:

  • Owns Macbook
  • Has access to vehicle
  • Proficient in Quickbooks, Google Docs/Drive, Canva, Microsoft Suite
  • Adobe Suite skills a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Marketing or PR background a plus
  • Graphic Design skills are a plus
